Constitution: Legislation has responsibility for adopting the budget of the Federation In line with the 2024 amendments, the CEC is now enabled to control its own budget by being authorized to submit a budget request without it being altered by the Ministry of Finance

The Central Election Commission of BiH nominees shall be legal experts with experience in the administration of elections and/or electoral experts and may not hold any office in the bodies of a political party, association or foundations organizationally or financially related to the political party, and may not be involved in any political party activity.
