Elections for municipal councilors and mayors: Must be Bulgarian citizens who are 18 years of age on election day, including, not under guardianship, not serving a custodial sentence and lived for at least the last six months in the relevant village. (2) Every citizen of the country - State of the European Union, which is not a Bulgarian citizen has the right to elect municipal councilors and mayors, if aged 18 or over including election day, is not under guardianship is not serving a sentence of imprisonment a status of long-term or permanent residence in the Republic of Bulgaria, lived for at least the last six months in the local community and is not deprived of the right to vote in the Member State of nationality.
