Mali: Electoral Code Change (2016)
As per the 2016 revised electoral code, a presidential candidate is required to have support of 15 deputies and 5 national advisors and deposit money worth 35 million CFA Francs to run for the office. The new electoral code enhanced requirements for a presidential candidate.
