Somalia: The Transitional Federal Charter of the Somali Republic (2003)

This document is an English version of the Transitional Federal Charter of the Somali Republic. The text, written at the Somali National Reconciliation Conference in Kenya 2002-2003, aims to institute a federal state and promotes democracy, the rule of law and national reconciliation. The charter also mentions the role of the transitional government in helping the fighting factions to convert themselves into non-belligerent political organizations.
