Bolivia: Preliminary Statement, General Elections, The Carter Center (2009)

This statement was released by the Carter Center on December 7, 2009, after an Election Observation Mission to Bolivia. The general elections were held on December 6. The observers concluded that the election day was characterized by a peaceful atmosphere and great participation. The team focused in particular on the the functioning of the newly-introduced biometric registry.
