Afghanistan:Pre-Election Observation Report, Presidential and Provincial Elections, NDI (2009)

This report is was issued by a multi-national delegation assembled by the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI). The report includes information gained through interviews with political and civic leaders as well as representatives from various sectors of the international community in Kabul. The delegation's activities were designed to provide an accurate assessment of the political environment and demonstrate the international community's interest in the development of democratic governance in Afghanistan.
