Korea, Republic of: Introduction to the Political and Electoral Systems of the Republic of Korea (2020)

This publication by the National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea informs about the Korean electoral system and NEC's mission and mandates. It is mainly composed of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) raised over five years (2015-2020) during official meetings between NEC and international organisations, foreign election officials and diplomatic delegations in Korea. This book is meant to be a valuable reference, a tool for informing the international community about the electoral system in Korea, as well as to contribute to enhancing the understanding of NEC's roles and responsibilities and serve as a foundation for better communication with global partners.
