Yemen: Pre-Election Statement, Presidential and Local Council Elections, NDI (2006)

The National Democratic Institute's pre-election delegation released this statement after visiting Yemen and observing the preparations for the September 20 elections. The delegation had to assess the technical preparations and pre-election political environment in the country. NDI has been working with political parties, government officials and members of the EMB since 2003.
