Azerbaijan: Opposition Protest Results in Wave of Arrests, EurasiaNet (2011)
The article reports that Azerbaijani authorities have violently broken up the opposition demonstration. Numerous activists were injured and more that 30 received jail terms. Although the number of protesters was not big (different reports say from few hundreds to 4-5 thousands), president Aliyev's regime showed zero-tolerance to criticism towards governmental policy.
