Bulgaria government faces first no-confidence vote (Reuters AlerNet, 2010)

Bulgaria's opposition parties asked parliament on Friday to hold a vote of no-confidence on the centre-right government party over its failure to overhaul the ailing healthcare sector. The first vote of no-confidence against the government of Prime Minister Boiko Borisov, which lacks a majority but is supported by rightist parties, is unlikely to topple the government but could further erode its popularity, already hit by a deep recession.
