Bahamas: Thompson opens Senate debate on Parliamentary Elections Act, Freeport News (2012)
Senate vice president, David Thompson leads a debate on the Parliamentary Elections Bill 2012 in the Senate ,noting that the bill reflects a further deepening of democracy in The Bahamas. Amendments to the Parliamentary Elections Act would permit Bahamian students and Bahamians working in foreign missions to vote abroad, in addition to making it possible for an independent observer to monitor the country's electoral process.
