Botswana: EISA calls for women politicians, Mmegi (2011)

At a workshop for political parties in Botswana which was held in Maun, EISA expressed its concerns on woman empowerment in politics. EISA senior programmes officer,Victor Shale said according to the SADC gender protocol 2010 barometer coordinated by Gender Links, Botswana and Mauritius failed dismally on the improvement of woman participation as candidates in the elections.
