Colombia: Violence and low turnout plague election day, Colombia Report (2010)

This article comments on elections day in Colombia. Colombia's National Registrar reported that the voter turnout for the second round of presidential elections was lower than the first round (-11%) in the country and abroad (only 7,545 out of the 55,000 Colombians abroad registered actually voted). Violence outbreaks were also reported in the northwestern regions.
