Past Elections
The last election devolved unicameral legislature, the Løgting, was held on Saturday, January 19, 2008. The Republican Party gained the largest number of votes and seats while the Unionist-Social Democratic-Conservative coalition government of Prime Minister Jóannes Eidesgaard retained an overall parliamentary majority.
