Georgia: GEL 1.2 mln Allocated to Re-Check Voters List, Civil.ge (2010)

The article reports that about USD 680,000 of state funding will be allocated to political parties for the purpose of carrying rechecking of voters’ list ahead of local elections planned for May 2010. According to the amendments of the Election Code in December 2009, those parties, which are eligible for the state funding, will receive additional finances for carrying out activities related with re-checking the voters’ list.
