Press Statement for the Shinyalu and Bomachoge By-Elections Results, IIEC website (2009)

Generally, the election was peaceful while the tallying and results were done within a reasonable time. The Commission is of course assessing the lessons learnt from this by election and is also looking forward to receiving reports from observer groups and other stake holders for the overall improvement of the electoral process.
