Myanmar: NLD and Allies Discuss Party Registration, The Irrawaddy (2011).

This article discusses the meeting on political party registration between the National League for Democracy (NLD) and its pro-democracy allies. Aung San Suu Kyi stated that the registration decision can be made after the law is approved and enacted. According to the new law, a political party have to contest three constituencies in by-elections or general elections in order to be recognized as a legitimate party.
