Malaysia: Preliminary study being carried out on redelineation, says EC chairman, The Star Online (2011)
This article reports that the Malaysian Election Commission is carrying out a preliminary study on the redelineation of electoral constituencies. Under Article 113 (2) of the Federal Constitution, the eight-year period after the last redelineation of electoral boundaries expired on March 21 that enabled another redelineation to be carried out. The last time a redelineation exercise was carried out was in 2003.
