Legal wrangling delays Nigeria election preparations, Reuters (2010)
This article discusses the main issues that the Independent National Election Commission is facing during the preparations for the 2011 elections. The head of the commission, Attahiru Jega, declared that uncertainty over the legal framework is undermining the voter registration process and the whole election. Last month, the Parliament passed an amendment to the Constitution (on the legal framework for the elections) which is now being debated in the courts.
