Nigeria:Politicians threaten court action over zoning, Next (2010)

Politicians from the Northern region of Nigeria have said they will pursue court action over the zoning issue in the 2011 presidential election. It is traditional for the presidency in Nigeria to rotate between North and South and some are seeking to bar President Goodluck Jonathan from running in the upcoming election in violation of this convention.
