Nigeria:'Why State Legislators Reject Higher Education Qualification for Election', All Africa (2010)

The Yobe State House of Assembly has rejected a proposed amendment for a minimum higher education requirement to run for office in Nigeria. The amendment was rejected as many legislators felt it would not benefit most Nigerians.
