January 18th 2009 was the day when the elections for the municipal authorities, that were delayed in the North Atlantic Autonomous Region (RAAN) because of the damages caused by hurricane Felix, took place. For that purpose, 544 polling sites were installed to receive the 167,371 citizens of the 7 municipalities of the region, so that they could vote.
