Singapore: PAP retains power, winning 81 of 87 parliamentary seats, The Star Online (2011)
This article reports that Singapore’s ruling party, PAP, has retained power by winning 81 of the 87 seats in the general election. The Workers’ Party won five seats in Group Representation Constituencies (GRC), and retained their seat in Hougang Single Member Constituencies (SMC), which gave it a total seat of six seats in the parliament. The result is reported to be the best performance of the opposition since 1965.
