El Salvador: Salvadoran Presidential Contenders Virtually Tied, Angus Reid Global Monitor (2009)
The main candidates in El Salvador’s presidential election are almost even, according to a poll by Borge & Asociados released by El Diario de Hoy. 40.9 per cent of respondents would vote for Rodrigo Ávila of the governing conservative Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA) while 40 per cent would support Mauricio Funes of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN).
