Syrian elections: Baath of most resistance, Russia Today (2012)

This news article says a constitutional referendum was held in Syria on 26 February 2012. The new constitution received support from 89 per cent of the voters. The documents now sets a limit of two seven-year terms for future presidents and also removed Article 8 of the previous document, which stated that the Arab Socialist Baath Party leads the state and society.
