Turks and Caicos Islands: New governor says U.K. committed to 2012 elections , TCI Free Press (2011)

TCI's recently appointed governor His Excellency the Gov. Damian Roderic “Ric” Todd is assuring the residents of that British overseas territory that U.K. is committed to holding elections next year, and that passing the necessary laws would be one of his top priorities. Following the results of a commission of inquiry into allegations of corruption among government officials, the UK suspended the government of the island chain and appointed an interim governement with an Advisory Council and a Consultative Forum in 2009.
