Thailand: Campaign financing in the spotlight, Bangkok Post (2011)
This article reports on the commitment of the the Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo) to ask the Thai Election Commission to examine suspicious financial transactions in the lead-up to the July 3 general election, such as the opening of bank accounts at several commercial banks during the weeks leading up to the election. The authority to initiate probes of election fraud rests with the EC.
