Thailand: Parties' candidates embrace social media, The Nation (2011)

This article reports that the advertising industry expects up t 1 million Baht in campaign ad spending by political parties in the run-up to the general election. It also highlights the use of social media amongst candidates. At least 60 per cent is expected to be spent through broadcast media such as free TV and radio, while 30 per cent will be spent on print and social media and 8 to 10 per cent on outdoor advertising such as billboards.
