Turkmenistan: Needs Assessment Mission Report ahead of the 14 December 2008 parliamentary election, OSCE/ODIHR
OSCE/ODIHR deployed a Needs Assessment Mission to Turkmenistan in September-October 2008 to assess the situation ahead of the 14 December 2008 Parliamentary Elections. The mission concluded that recent Constitutional amendments may constitute possible positive developments. The mission also suggested deploying a small number of election experts as Election Support Team to Turkmenistan.
