Tanzania: NCCR joins Chadema to oppose proposed election funding law, The Citizen (2010)
The two opposition parties strongly criticize the proposed Election Finances Act 2009, saying that the bill is meant to favor the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) while restricting the rights of weaker political parties or candidates to raise funds for election expenses throughout the electoral cycle and giving more power to the registrar of political parties to interfere in functions of political parties.
