Viet Nam: Localities Get Ready For National Assembly Election, ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (2011)

This article reports on the details of the Viet Nam general election on May 22, 2011. The number of candidates for seats at the 13th National Assembly is 827. A total of 3,832 deputies will be selected for seats at provincial People’s Councils at 63 cities and provinces, 21,131 at district level and 281,491 at communal level. Localities have already set up election boards to oversee the elections.
