South Africa: IEC chair applauds parties for political tolerance, SABCNews (2011)
The article reports on the satisfaction by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) on the conduct by political parties during the campaign process ahead of this years local governmnet elections. During the briefing of business leaders, in Johannesburg, the IEC Chairperson, Dr. Brigalia Bam said, "This is something we must celebrate which is a sign of growth for us as South Africa in which we are beginning to understand that all of us in the country have a right to our opinion."
