The collaboration between two important institutions, the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE) of Mexico and the Organization of American States (OAS), has resulted in an annual Forum on Latin American Democracy taking place since year 2010. In this Forum, reflection and analysis of the topics of the regional democratic agenda.

As in the two previous Fora, leaders, experts, practitioners, academicians, public officers, entrepreneurs, political parties' representatives, citizen organizations and mass media from Latina America have been convoked by these institutions to share their opinions on the main challenges and issues faced by the continent's democracies.

This time around, IFE and OAS, along with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) and El Colegio de México, would like to invite the interested audience to the III Forum on Latin American Democracy, that will address the issue of:

"Democracy and Representation Crisis:

Does the winner of elections attain the power?"

 

that will take place at the facilities of El Colegio de Mexico (Camino al Ajusco No. 20, Col. Pedregal de Sta. Teresa, C.P. 10740, México, D.F) on October 10-12, 2012.

In addition, the Report of the Global Commission on Democracy, Security and Elections will be presented in Spanish.
