Jean-Michel DumontBorn in 1955 in Brussels, Belgium. Studied Political Science & International Relations at the ULB (Brussels Free University). From mid-1982 until end 2000, worked for members of the European Parliament and members of various national parliaments of different European countries. Advisor to the Chief of the European Union Electoral Unit in the Palestinan Territories in 1995-1996. Consultant for the European Commission for evaluation of the preparation of the registration of voters in Chad in 2001 and for the assistance to the electoral process in the Republic of Congo in 2001-2002. Expert seconded by the Belgian governement as electoral advisor to the Delegation of the European Commission in the Democratic Republic of Congo from Sept. 2003 to Dec. 2006. Political advisor to the European Union Special Representative for the Great Lakes region as from January 2007. |
