Course Review/Expert Workshop on Elections (Goree)
The German Development Cooperation has recently approved a three-year extension of her support to KAIPTC and as part of measures to enhance the quality, relevance and impact of the training course , the workshop will bring together election experts from the United Nations, European Union, African Union, regional organisations, civil society, specialised institutions and past graduates.

The aims of the workshop are:
• Reviewing the curriculum/content of the Election Observation training course at KAIPTC in light of recent experiences in West Africa in particular and Africa as a whole
• Aligning the course content to the priorities and needs of West Africa as defined in the Conflict Prevention Framework of the Economic Community of West African States(ECOWAS)
• Examining the challenges and lessons learned from the conduct of recent elections in West Africa and beyond to draw experiences and recommendations for countries that are currently preparing for elections and,
• Incorporating these lessons into future training courses on election observation at KAIPTC
