The reform of the election law is one of the key issues in the negotiations between the Lebanese government and the opposition. Democracy Reporting International (DRI) has carried out, in co-operation with the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE), an in-depth assessment of the electoral framework, including the current law of 2000 and the draft law prepared by the Boutros Commission.
