There are three electoral agencies: the Electoral Commission, the Chief Electoral Office, and the Electoral Enrollment Center. The Parliament has established a new Electoral Commission to integrate the responsibilities of the Chief Electoral Office and the current Electoral Commission. This entity will be fully functional by 1 October 2010.

The monarchy is hereditary. In the House of Representatives, 69 members are elected by popular vote to serve a 3-year term and 51 members are chosen by party list.
