Parliamentary, provincial, local and first round of presidential election of Serbia took place simultaneously on 6th of May. Electoral commissions carried out their duties efficiently and within legal deadlines. For the first time, a single unified voter register based on a system of permanent registration was used. Public allegations were raised about widespread vote-buying within the Roma population, intimidation of employees, and possible misuse of public resources.

The second round of Serbian presidential elections took place on 20th of May. Between the rounds some allegations of election fraud occurred. The number of complaints was lodged and examined by The Republic Electoral Commission. Generally, the vote count was assessed as orderly, efficient and transparent, media coverage was distributed fairly.
