Carlos Del CastilloMr. Carlos del Castillo is a Peruvian former diplomat with Master degree in International Relations major in International Public Management and a degree in Diplomacy who after leaving his career as a Peruvian diplomat started working for the United Nations Transitional Administration in Cambodia (UNTAC) in 1992 as District Electoral Supervisor. Since then he has worked in electoral matters for United Nations in several countries of Africa, Asia, Middle East and Latin America: Peru, Cambodia, Mozambique, Angola, Guyana, Sao Tome & Principe, Timor-Leste, Afghanistan, Liberia, Sudan, South Sudan, Guatemala and Iraq . He has also worked as Peruvian Diplomat in South Korea and in the Peruvian chancellery. In 2014 Mr. Del Castillo worked as UN Senior Electoral advisor to the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq providing advise on the development and implementation of the operational plan and policies in support of several electoral events, working closely with the Director of Operations Department; the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and also with the nine IHEC Commissioners; he liaised too with all relevant sectors of the IHEC on the development of operational plans and timelines for electoral events. |
