Scope of countries

As an ACE regional center, RBI focuses on the following countries in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

The Resource Building Institute in Democracy Governance and Elections (RBI) is a non-governmental organization based in Yerevan, Armenia. RBI facilitates and contributes to the sustainable state building and civil society building efforts through dialogue and policy development in Armenia, the South Caucasus region and CIS. 

RBI was founded in 2007, by the team of national and international experts of International IDEA's office in Armenia, in order to take over the continuation and development of its work and approach after closure of the office.

RBI focuses on civic and citizenship education with youth, capacity building and professional development of electoral administration and other election stakeholders.  BRIDGE  (Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections) curriculum and its participatory methodology are the main capacity building tools used by RBI.

RBI works with national, regional and international actors: NGOs, governmental agencies, universities, experts and practitioners, and other actors involved in democracy, governance and elections. 

Through its involvement in ACE Electoral Knowledge Network, RBI contributes with research, networking and information update, as well as promotes ACE and comprehensive electoral knowledge in the region.
