تعليقات Candidates for election must be above the age of 21, have resided in The Bahamas for at least one year prior to their nomination for candidacy. In addition, they may not be a judge of the Supreme Court or Court of Appeal, a substantive public officer (including temporary), a member of the armed forces, a staff member of the Governor General or an employee of the Ministry of Tourism. Elections officials and senators are also excluded. Other clauses exclude citizens of a foreign country, any bankrupted individual, an individual of unsound mind under any law in force or an individual sentenced to death or imprisonment for a period exceeding twelve months.
