تعليقات A party must apply to the CEC Chairperson with a signed application. If the party has an MP, it must apply no later than 57 days before Election Day. If not, the application period is from January 1 to July 15 of the election year. The application must include a recent excerpt from the political associations register, showing the authorized party representative and, if applicable, proof of having a representative in Parliament. A party that doesn't meet the conditions of the above criteria must submit a list of at least 25,000 supporting voters to the CEC within 60 days of receiving a sample list, but no later than August 1.

تعليقات Presidental candidates: In order to nominate a candidate for President of Georgia, not less than 30 members of the Election Panel shall, after the membership of the Election Panel is approved but not later than the 30 days before the Election Day, file an application to the CEC. Parliamentary elections: Under the new fully proportional system, independent candidates cannot stand for the parliamentary elections, contrary to OSCE commitments. To participate in the elections, parties must first register with the CEC. Parties that have an MP at the time of calling elections have to submit their application no later than 57 days before election day.

تعليقات Funds from the state budget which are to be directly distributed among political parties, shall go to the political parties, which during the last parliamentary elections overcame the 4% threshold, or parties which during the last local elections overcame the 3% threshold. One part of the state funding is allocated on an equal basis and another part is allocated in proportion to the votes obtained by each party.
