تعليقات A Candidate affiliate to a political party shall be seconded by that party through its endorsement of that person's candidature which shall be signed by the party official and approved by the Commission. A political party that applies to nominate a party list and women list to be elected on the basis of proportional representation shall submit to the Commission a deposit of 200 South Sudanese Pounds (36.3 euro) for each candidate on the proposed lists for the National Assembly.

تعليقات Any person is eligible to stand as an independent candidate if she/he is not a member of a registered political party and has not been a member for at least 3 months before the date of election and if she/he has been registered as a voter in the constituency she/he intends to stand for election. Independent candidates for the National Legislative Assembly shall be seconded by not less than 100 voters registered in their geographical constituency. In addition, independent candidates for the National Assembly elections must submit a deposit of 100 South Sudanese Pounds (18.1 euro). This deposit shall be refunded if the candidate obtains more than 10% of the valid votes cast or if the candidate withdraws at any time not later than 45 days before the polling day.
