Rémegie Gahungu

My name is GAHUNGU REMEGIE. I was born in 1979 at Gishubi, Gitega province. I am married and I have two beloved children i.e a girl and a boy. I have been a Public prosecutor, a Judge of the Court of Appeal and Judge at the Supreme Court of Burundi. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Law from Tumaini University at Iringa, Tanzania.I have also a specialised (Masters) Degree in Human Rights and Peaceful Conflicts Resolution. I am actually the Head of Legal Affairs Department at the Burundi National Independent Electoral Commission since 2009. I have so many certificates in election management. I am an accredited BRIDGE Facilitator. I have been in various countries including Australia for capacity building in electoral matters.I also endertook an academic programme at the University of Sout Africa (UNISA) in Management of Democratic Elections in Africa. Actually, I am really commited to learn more from my Colleagues Experts and share experience with them for the purposes of improving in the conduct of free, fair, credible, inclusive and Democratic election on all continents.
