Robert Marsh

IT Project Manager at the New Zealand Electoral Commission. Bachelor of Social Science, University of Waikato. Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy, Victoria University of Wellington. Pre-poll, polling and post-poll official at local level for the 2005 general election. Joined the National Office of the Chief Electoral Office in 2007, restructured into the current Electoral Commission on its establishment in 2010. Since joining the National Office, I have worked on two general elections (2008 & 2011), four by-elections, a national postal referendum and a national referendum by ballot box (alongside the 2011 general election). For over 5 years I worked in the Events (Operations) team at the Commission. My areas of responsibility covered a broad range of pre-poll, polling day and post-poll processes, both manual and ICT-assisted. I have now moved into the IT team with responsibility for roll-out of field ICT and business analysis and project management of IT enhancement and development projects.
