He specializes in integrating emerging technologies, including AI and digital platforms, to enhance democratic processes, transparency, and cybersecurity. He has advised Electoral Management Bodies, judiciaries, and UN missions, including serving as Chief Technical Advisor for The Gambia’s 2022 electoral cycle. Dr. Maphephe holds a PhD in Technology and Public Management, a Master’s in Good Governance and Political Transformation, and an MBA specializing in ICT Project Management. His research explores digitalisation, technology-enabled governance, and electoral integrity, bridging theory, policy, and practical implementation. He is recognized for his ability to integrate research insights, technology solutions, and institutional reform, advancing democratic resilience and citizen-centered governance across diverse national contexts. |
