Aiah QuiwaMy name is Aiah Quiwa, working for the National Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone as Regional Chief North, covering five Districts.An enthusiastic and dedicated professional with extensive experience across areas in Administration and election operations. An exceptional leader who is able to develop and motivate others to achieve targets; can demonstrate a strong ability to manage projects from conception through to successful completion. A proactive individual with logical approach to challenges, performing effectively within a highly pressurized working environment. Quick to grasp new ideas and concepts, and to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems. I have served as Field Coordination Officer in the National Electoral Commission (NEC) from 2005 to 2009, District Electoral Officer for Port Loko District from 2009 to January 2010 and presently I am the Regional Chief of the Northern Region, one of the biggest Regions in Sierra Leone electoral administrations covering five Districts – Bombali, Koinadugu, Tonkolili, Kambia and Port Loko. From January 2015 to January 2016, I served as acting director of Operations. I have also served extensively, over 5 years as Personnel Administration/Coordinator/Field Officer/Logistic in different organizations such as United Nation Organization on Drug and Crime UNODC – Sierra Leone, African Gold & Diamonds (SL) Ltd, Mamarasu Enterprises Ltd, and Sierra Leone Red Cross Society. While at the National Electoral Commission (NEC), I am working closely with logistics, worked with the UN Volunteer units and the Advisor Team from UNDP. All Situational reports and Technical advice from NEC for UNV/Adviser staff on operation from the District pass through me for transmission to the NEC Headquarter and to the District Election Officers. I have been actively engaged in serving as the focal point for all Regional Communication, Operations and Logistics issues. |
