Andrew LadleyI am an international and constitutional lawyer, specialising in 'transitions' - including elections, negotiations, conflict management, coalitions and constitutional frameworks. On election matters, I have worked the the UN and Commonwealth with the elections team in Cambodia, South Africa, Gambia and East Timor. I have also done detailed research on election issues, including in Papua New Guinea and (for the UN) in Somalia. In 2008-9 I was a Senior Expert Mediator on constitution arrangements for the United Nations. I currently work as a consultant on the above issues and retain academic connections at Victoria University of Wellington, including supervision of Doctoral work, etc. In the last few years, I have assisted with peace process mediation and suchlike in a wide range of countries, including the Pacific, South East Asia, the Middle East and Africa. |
