Md. Abdul Alim

About 20 years programme/project management experience in democratic governance with Democracy Unternational, UNDP, The Asia Foundation, National Democratic Institute and Transparency International in the field of elections, parliamentary reforms, civil society development and anti-corruption. Experience in providing policy advice to Bangladesh Election Commission in conducting successful 9th parliamentary election in a conflict political situation. He has vast knowledge on various issues of election management as well as observation. He is now working as Director, Election (EWG) Programme, Asia Foundation, Dhaka. Mr. Alim posses PhD in "Electoral Governance and Political Parties: Bangladesh Perspectives" with focus of electoral governance in some developing and established democracies. He has working experience in all the areas of elections. He receives many trainings such as BRIDGE Showcase and PAVE Training; PRINCE-2; e-Learning Course on Sustainability in Electoral Administration (EC-UNDP); e-Learning Course on EU and UNDP Working Together in Electoral Assistance (EC-UNDP); e-Learning Course on ICT and Elections Management (EC-UNDP)etc.
