Gabriella Bernasconi Walker

Independent Election and Human Right Consultant and Trainer. Gabriella Bernasconi Walker is an independent election and human right consultant. She is an Expert of the Swiss Pool for Civilian Peace building (Swiss DFAE). During the last 20 years Gabriella Bernasconi Walker has been working in the field of international peace-keeping missions, electoral assistance and election observation. Her assignments have been with UN, EU, CoE, UNDP, IOM, OSCE, ODIHR, ZIF Berlin and were in Western and South-Europe, Balkans, Caucasus, Middle East, Asia, Latin America and Africa, directly engaged or seconded by the Governmental Swiss Pool for Civilian Peace building (DFAE). Her roles varies from Adviser of Election Management Bodies to Election, Manager of Election Training and Capacity Building, Member of Evaluation mission and Electoral Observer. Before that Gabriella Bernasconi Walker worked for 10 years with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) coordinating visits to political detainees in Sri Lanka, Thailand (Cambodia), Kenya, Soudan, Israel (Palestine) and Peru.
